OK, so you recorded a great song. Or maybe a whole EP or even an album. In a studio, or just in your bedroom. Awesome! But how to make it sound like a professional record?

No worries: I've got your back. I mix and/or master your (home) recordings into professional souding, cohesive tracks that make impact. To give your music the sound it deserves.
I mainly focus on heavier styles like rock, punk and metal, but I can also do pop, country or singer/songwriter.

Just to be clear: Kale Audio is NOT a recording studio.

This is how I work
From recordings to a release-ready track? This is my typical workflow process:
Step 1. Briefing
Before we start, we will discuss the details of the project. This includes the number of tracks, the number of stems per track, the necessity for things like reamping the guitars, the desired sound (reference tracks are welcome). This will allow me to determine a final price.
Note: I'm NOT a recording studio.
Step 4. Processing feedback
Do you have any feedback on the rough mix (or master, if that's the case)? Not completely satisfied yet? No worries. I will make adjustments where necessary until you are satisfied.
Step 2. Collecting and reviewing the recording stems
I would then like to receive all final recording stems as separate wav-files, in the high quality (24 bit/48 Khz is fine). Drums can be send as midi or as separate recorded tracks.
I will review all stems for (serious) recording issues and will notify you if there are any issues.
Step 6. Finalize and deliver the mix
You'll receive wav-files of the final tracks (24 bits/48Khz/stereo), unless you have specified other preferences in advance.
Step 3. Rough mix
Are the stems allright? I always try to deliver a rough mix as quickly as possible, but I also take enough time to ensure that the rough mix is of good quality so that it's not too far off from the final result.
In that way, you can give meaningful feedback as soon as possible in the process.
Optional: mastering
Don't you want to hire a separate mastering studio? I'm also happy to do the mastering. This will give you a completely finished, release-ready result that sounds good on all speakers and is suitable for all media and major music platforms.
